Assignment 2 : Motion Based Poster

Okay, for the first step of the making of the Motion Based poster, i used Adobe Flash,using ActionScript 3.0 and dimensions of 550 x 400 pixels with 10 frames per second

.

First I import all the images that i have done in Adobe photoshop to Adobe flash. I click the file>Import> Import to stage.Then I'll have all the files that i wanted to do the motion based poster.

 Then i used a pink coloured background as the back of the motion poster.

Then I used some text such as Malaysia, Inspire,Proud and used the classic tween as the effects and Plus of the Fade in and Fade out effects.

Then i used another classic tween effect on the text that i import from adobe photoshop.

 Then I import the UNITY image that i saved in PNG from the Adobe photoshop that I have done earlier.

Then I paste it up on the center of the motion poster by using the classic tween effect> fade out = Alpha 0%.

 

 

Then I group all the layers to their own so that it would look more organised. And after the vid below is my final product if motion based poster. I can not upload a SWF file to the blog so i convert the swf file to AVI and upload it in youtube. and here is the link to it, :D

Assignment 1 Redo

Okay,for the assignment 1,
The first step is I colored the background using brush (light pink) and i highlighten the center with brighter colour(lighter color pink)

Then, i use the image to represent the major races in Malaysia that is Malay,Chinese, India and other ethnics that mostly lives in Sabah & Sarawak.I traced the image that i take from google -credits to the BRYANLOH PHOTOGRAPHY using the Adobe Illustrator.I put the image in the text by using the clipping mask technique.

This is how it look like after i trace the pictures in illustrator.Then I reduced the background opacity (the pink background).
Since this is the typography poster, i put some text concerning 1 MALAYSIA concept  and i put drop shadow effects on every text there.

 Then I import the UNITY image that i saved in PNG from the Adobe illustrator that I have done earlier.

Then I paste it up on the center of the poster.

Then I group all the layers to their own so that it would look more organised.

After that , TADA!!

Assignment 1 (Typography poster)

Okay,for the assignment 1,
The first step is I colored the background using brush (light brown) and i highlighten the center with brighter colour(lighter color brown)

Then, i use the image of festivals symbols, and the symbols represent the 3 major races in Malaysia. Mandarin oranges represent chinese (chinese new year), the lamp represents the indian (deepavali) and ketupat represents the malays (Hari raya).

Be aware that i didn't directly used the image straight away and pasted in the photoshop. To be precise, i traced the images using adobe illustrator and i changed it to some kind of picture for the poster background.

This is how it look like after i trace the pictures in illustrator.

I reduced the background opacity (the festival background) to 26%.

Then i make another images using illustrator that is the picture i called Stick man XD

and i pasted it at the bottom right corner of the  poster

then since this is the typography poster, i put some text concerning 1 MALAYSIA concept (which is in Bahasa Melayu)  and i put drop shadow effects on every text there.

 after that, i traced the malaysian flag using the adobe illustrator again, i use the live trace (easy) but i change the setting so it will trace the malaysian flag with a 16-coloured setting. (i choose the setting so that the color won't change much).
After tracing it, i put the Malaysian flag beside the Big number 1.This is one of the typography skills which is the word+image typo skills.

and with this, I've done my typography poster. Yes,it is very simple i know. But at least i guess , i had improvement in using my adobe photoshop skills now than before.

Leo and Cancer

 Hi, for the calendar group assignment, i was in charge of July and August month. Which is the Cancer and Leo zodiac. so, let's begin with the steps on how i made my zodiac calendar. Now let I show you how i made the Leo zodiac calendar.

1st . First, i unlock the first layer and use brush tool to color the background grey.

2. Then, i take a wallpaper with classic design from the internet to set as the background.Then i reduce the opacity so that the wallpaper did not stand out too much than the main picture which i will post later.

 

 3.Then i used an image ( a guy model) to portray the Leo personality.I used the wand selection tool to crop the image from its own original wallpaper.Then via layer copy, i place the image on the right side corner of the calendar, and i deleted the (guy model) original to obtain the image that i selected.

4.The next step is, i used the brush tool again to smoothen the guy image so it will not look messy.

 5. Then,i used the rectangle tool to make the date frame,i choose the white color and i reduce the opacity.

 6.Next, i used text tool to type the date,days and month, then i put all the text effects so that the text will stand out.( drop shadow,inner shadow,bevel and emboss etc....)

7.The i search in the internet again for the leo symbol and i used the same step (wand tool + layer via copy) to extract the symbol and thus i paste it on the top left corner of the calendar.I put the symbol some effects too (strokes-bluish color)

 8.Then,to strengthen the image (how we portray the zodiac personality) and so that the viewers understand the zodiac leo more, i put the leo man descriptions on the top of the date.

 and Tada !! The image below is the final product of my leo calendar. (^~^)

Well, for the cancer calendar. I used the same steps.Just changed the image and the fonts. Other is still the same. (^~^)

My e-wallpaper

Okay ~ from here i will continue the phase or the process of making my e-wallpaper

From the layer of image that i cut, I place another image of durians on the new layer 

I used a quick selection tool to make an adjustment to change gradient colour at the some part of the durian mooncake

Then I used the colour balance to make the durians more realistic @ 3D. Then I posterize it a bit, (well, there’s nothing change though).Then in use the rectangle tool to make a header green.

Then I used the text to type durian(pink purple-ish color)

Then  I placed  another picture ( A WOMAN EATING A DURIAN) then i use smudge tool to create some effect on the image

Finally, I’ll put some text for the finishing touch

TADA !! haha, as i said, not a very clean work, plus i only use the basic tools. =.= well i'm a beginner.

but i find it is much harder to explain it using blog  than doing the e-wallpaper assignment.

But i'm glad i'm finished though eventhough when i first started my knowledge about photoshop is like totally 0%.
